Six of Crow (Six of Crows Duology 1)

Image
Six of Crows By Leigh Bardugo   I shouldn’t read Six of Crows for more than two months…it took me so long! What happened?! It’s horrible to do this! Please, don’t take it so long to read a book, you’ll regret it. (I won’t say that Outlander has been on my shelf for more than one year…)     Now…although I wasn’t attach to SoC that much, it’s a great book, and I can’t wait to start Crooked Kingdom! The ending! The plot twist! Kaz! Inej! Matthias! Jesper! Nina! And…who he is? Ah! Wylan (I suppose I get all the names right.)   Ketterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right price—and no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can't pull it off alone... A convict with a thirst for revenge A sharpshooter who can't walk away from a wager A runaway with a privileged past A spy known as the Wr

The Trial (Literature)

The Trial By Franz Kafka   So…after a long while, I finally finished it…and I have totally no idea what I’m reading, and my head is now a mess. I originally read this short story because I’ve no idea what “Before The Law” is taking about, which is our required read for Introduction to Literature course…but after reading The Trial? I have no idea what this is about, but the good thing is that I seemed to be more clear about the idea of Before the Law…probably. I hope.   The Trial tells the terrifying tale of Joseph K., a respectable functionary in a bank who is suddenly arrested and must defend his innocence against a charge about which he can get no information. Whether read as an existential tale, a parable, or a prophecy, this hauntingly believable story stands out as one of the great novels of our times. Kafka's unsurpassed nightmare vision rings with chilling truth as it foreshadows the excesses of modern bureaucracy wedded to the mad agendas of twentieth-centu

The In-Between: A Short Story

The In-Between: A Short Story By Mahmoud Farraj   So…normally, I don’t read books like this…full of…educational purpose. But since I receive this book, I’ve read it all and find it quite…interesting. It’s hard for me to compare the book with another autobiography by all those famous person, however, I did enjoy reading this book.   The In-Between is prominent tale about developing yourself to achieve your life's most desirable goals. The book describes the journey of a young entrepreneur who has been taught by some of the most inspirational mentors. The In-Between entails the 7 principles I have learned throughout my journey to get ahead in life. The unique aspect of The In-Between is that it is written in the context of someone who is still fighting for financial freedom. The book is not a get rich quick scheme, written by an author who turned a dollar into a billion. This book is to share the common principles I have seen that holds everyday people back from ach

The Fate of The Tearling (The Queen of The Tearling Series 3)

Image
The Fate of The Tearling By Erika Johansen     …I don’t even know where to start this book…It. Is. Insane. Of course…the cover is as great as usual, I especially love how it managed the pages, it’s absolutely beautiful.    And I’ve been so anticipated to finish this book…like more than a year? But…after I finish it…part of me will always lost…forever. This story is one of the craziest things I’ve ever read in ages, no exaggeration, this book is crazier than Heartless, crazier than Throne of Glass, crazier than the weirdest book series you’ve ever read. But it is perfect. I love it…and I hope the rumor of the movie will be out as soon as possible!!!!   In less than a year, Kelsea Glynn has grown from an awkward teenager into a powerful monarch and a visionary leader.   And as she has come into her own as the Queen of the Tearling, she has transformed her realm. But in her quest to end corruption and restore justice, she has made many enemies - chief among them th
