Image
June + July Book Haul—Months for the Covenant   Book haul? Are you ready? I’m absolutely ready for them!!! Yeah!!! Actually…I believe there will be more books after I arrived NYC, but since it’s a summer trip, I’ll do a NY book haul after I come back. And why I add June? Well…I completely forgot to write my June Book Haul…so…here I am, doing both month. Besides, there isn’t a lot of book for June, I save most of my money for US. But I did read some great book in June and July, so without further ado, let’s get the party started!!!

Once Upon a Time Red’s Untold Tale

Image
Once Upon a Time Red’s Untold Tale By Wendy Toliver   The hooded clock was made of rich red fabric;   a lovely brocade on the outside   and lined in lush velvet .   I stood and tried it on, loving how the hood drooped over my braids and the cape flowed so regally to the ground.   Good news for Oncer!!! This is a Once Upon a Time story. But the bad news is…I’ll keep this review short. Why? Because…it’s not as good as the TV…if I must say. Not so boring…but I can hardly tell it is bad or good…just…so so.   It’s Wolfstime , the foreboding period around each full moon when villagers must protect their homes and families against the giant, ferocious wolves that roam the forest. On the day Red turned thirteen, Granny gave her a special red cloak upon which a spell had been cast to protect Red from wolves.   Red is now sixteen and is desperately trying to fit in among her peers, save Granny’s failing bakery business, and, of course, protect herself from wolves.

Sentinel (The Covenant Series 5)

Image
Sentinel By Jennifer L. Armentraut It’s a beautiful day for a war.   Seriously? War? What kind of situation will you put “beautiful day” and “war” together? I think only when everything turns out wrong… here comes the final book of The Covenant Series!!!! Noooo!!!!! I love it…every page of it. Do you know what I realize after reading the entire series? Never give up on books. You’ll never know how they’ll turn out. In every Covenant series’ reviews I’ve mentioned that I don’t practically like Half-Blood…but who knows I become a huge fan of other four books? I’m glad that I’ve kept the habit of reading the entire series no matter how it goes, cause you can never guess what the authors are going to do next. Never.   As the mortal world slowly slips into chaos of the godly kind, Alexandria Andros must overcome a stunning defeat that has left her shaken and in doubt of their ability to end this war once and for all.   And with all the obstacles between Alex and her h

After Graduate—Books with School Life.

After Graduate—Books with School Life.   HERE COMES A HUGE STEP FOR MY LIFE!!! I GRADUATE!!! (As you can guess from the title…) so…then it hit on me that high school or any part of school life is important. No matter the memory is painful, sorrow, misery…or happiness, joyful… Trust me, I’ve been through all of that before. My elementary school life is well…neutral? However…I wouldn’t consider my junior high school a…well…delightful memory. Of course, there are good memories…but sometimes when I thought back…umm…better not to do so. Now, here comes my main point, High School!!!! Sometimes I believe one of my best choices I’ve made in junior high school is to study in my high school. And…sadly…I graduate. Wait what? You say since I’m graduate…I must have more time to write? And why I’m so un-productive these days? Sorry guys, I had to work as assistant for my Math Teacher now…so…you see…typing computer all night already stress out my eyes…so I’m less productive recently. But I p

Apollyon (The Covenant Series 4)

Image
Apollyon By Jennifer L. Armentraut   Fate isn’t something to mess with…and now, neither is Alex.   Holly daimon…this book is getting better and better and better!!!! You need proof? Here you go—Half-Blood, three stars; Pure and Deity, four stars, and now—Apollyon, five stars!!!! The book is so amazing!!! I love it in every possible way, the plots, the characters…just draw every inch of me. Remember the last scene from Deity? Alex was connected with Seth… her Seth. As you can guess…we’re now having a…well…weird Alex, and I kind of like her in that way. (Strange huh?) But besides that, everything in this book is great!!!   Alex has always feared two things: losing herself in the awakening and being place on the elixir. But love has always been stronger than fate, and Aiden St. Delphi is willing to make war on the gods—and Alex herself—to bring her back.

Rain

Image
Rain   A tale always gets a tale; a secret always gets a secret.   It’s said that when the princess cries, rain drops; when she sobs, winds blow. It’s a moonless night, no stars, no light, only endless darkness.   Wind blows furiously, rain drop heavily.   All animals hide, all trees bow. They hide from the anger of the Mother Earth. While humanity might think all of this a natural phenomenon, there is a tale lies behind.   A tale of broken heart, a tale of sorrow.

Deity (The Covenant Series 3)

Image
Deity Jennifer L. Armentraut   History is on repeat, and things didn’t go so well the last time.   This series is getting better and better!!! I’m so glad that I keep reading and didn’t give up on it! Especially…there are some hot, heart-touched, emotional scenes. (Fanning myself…) And I love how the relationship goes…it’s getting better and better!!! It takes me more than a month to finish Half-Blood, about one week to finish Pure…guess what? It only takes two day…or three to finish Deity!!! (Not to mention I’m now moving toward Apollyon and Sentinel. And…I almost finish Apollyon.) See? The Covenant series is becoming a devoured book!!! It can now be place as love, not like, not OK. But love. I love how everything goes and what is going to happen next.   Alexandria isn’t sure she’s going to make it to her eighteenth birthday—till her awakening. A long-forgotten, fanatical order is out to kill her. And if the council ever discovers what she did in the Cats

Summertime Madness Book Tag

Image
Summertime Madness Book Tag   Just few months ago, I’ve done the spring time book haul!!! Now, so fast…months past, it’s time for summer!!! So…what time it is? Summer time!!! Time for another pile of books!!!   In Taiwan, it’s always a tortuous thing to stay outdoor. The extreme heat and blazing sun…it kills us. So…what’s my favorite activity? Stay inside the house and get a pile of books and open the air-condition and eat books, drink books, and devour books!!! Oh! Maybe with a good glass of drink! That’s my wonderful vacation. My bedroom and perfect companion.   So, I’m here to share you my summer vacation!   1.      Show a book with a summery cover! i.e Sun, Beach etc.   Umm…does a cliff count??? Ah! I think I do have a book with summery cover, The Siren by Kiera Cass!!! The cover has beach, ocean, and bright sunlight! Isn’t that summery enough? Although the story has nothing to do with summer. Not at all. But just see the summer cover! I love it! It’s lovely a
