Destined for Doon (Doon Series 2)

Destined for Doon
By Carey Corp & Lorie Landon
Once upon a time—
I hope…
In a kingdom outside of time and palace—
More than Broadway…
Lived a colossally stupid maiden,
More than London’s West End…
An equally idiotic queen,
And a—
What should happen when a girl was crowned a queen and found her one true love? Happily Ever After? Sorry guys...this is a realistic world. Things won't happen so wonderfully. Wait! Shouldn't I suppose to talk about Vee's love life with Jamie? What happen? Please...not those "witch craft" things again...poor Veronica...
In this sequel to Doon, Mackenna Reid realizes she made a horrible mistake in choosing to follow her dreams of Broadway instead of staying in the enchanted land of Doon. To make everything worse, she's received her Calling―proof she and Duncan are each other's one true love―and it's pure torment, especially when visions of the very alluring Scottish prince appear right before she goes on stage. So when Duncan tells her an ancient curse threatens to overtake Doon and the new queen and Kenna’s best friend, Veronica, needs her to return, Kenna doesn't have to think twice. With darkness closing in on all sides, Kenna and Vee must battle a world of nightmares in order to protect the kingdom. But it will take the ultimate test of courage for Kenna to salvage her happily ever after.
Sorry guys...I should have told you this book is mostly narrate by Kenna, not Veronica. I just like Vee too much so I open with Vee and Jamie~ but actually...according to the last chapter of Doon...we get to know that Kenna had found that her Callin' truly exists. Duncan was Finn at all time. But Kenna already hurt him too much. Poor Duncan~ I miss the laughing young prince. He had changed when Kenna left. And when he took the quest from Veronica, Kenna and Duncan both made mistake...so...awful situation.  Besides Kenna, Vee also met her own problem...and quit more horrible than Kenna's Callin'. She can't owe the respect that a queen should have...and that mostly because of Jamie. Jamie, Jamie, Jamie. We all love you...but don't be so overprotective! And show some respect to Her Majesty! And also...the black petunia is back, covering the whole Doon...if that happened...No. More. Doon.
This book is as great as the first one, it deserve all the stars I can give.  I love every moment with Vee & Jamie (Expect for the "Respect" part.) And it's really great to once again saw Vee and Kenna shared mind. It's so great to own such a BFF! Also, we got some new people in the book, needless to say, nice to meet you all! (Even you're a criminal...but you help Doon so much so I decide to forgive you.) Last but not least, it's such a wonderful thing to see Duncan return to his normal self! The fun charming prince. I kept laughing when I read "My brother must love you very much, Veronica." (Why's that? Go read the book now!!!) Although some might say it take too long to read Kenna & Duncan's relationship...like whole book till the last part, but I felt it's alright! Cause it's a good writing novel...not something horrible. And what Kenna concern about was gradually reveal in the book, it makes her less selfish. One more...I really like all those musical in the book! It's so creative to write things like that! I 100% recommend this book! Everyone should read it!!! It deserves all the praise I can give!
